These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Doc Merge Studio software, DocMergeStudio.com, and related services provided by Conus Enterprises LLC ("we," "us," or "our").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the website, creating an account, downloading, installing, or using Doc Merge Studio, you agree to these Terms and the Software License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the software or website.
2. Description of Service
Doc Merge Studio is a Windows desktop application for creating reusable document and email templates, managing merge fields, previewing results, and exporting documents. Some features depend on account verification or an active license. We may provide software updates, changes, and improvements over time.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to register for the service. You agree to provide accurate account information, safeguard your credentials, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
Access may be subject to a limit of two registered devices per account as described in the Software License Agreement.
4. Free Trial
Doc Merge Studio offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required to begin. Starting this no-card trial does not automatically create a paid subscription or result in a charge.
When the trial ends, continued licensed use requires a paid subscription. A trial does not guarantee access to features after the trial period has expired.
5. Subscription and Billing
The standard Doc Merge Studio subscription is $29.99 per year, plus applicable taxes shown at checkout. A paid annual subscription automatically renews for successive annual periods unless you cancel before the next renewal date.
By purchasing the subscription and consenting to recurring billing at checkout, you authorize the payment processor, such as Stripe, to charge the payment method you provide at each renewal. Any changes to pricing or renewal terms will be communicated in advance as required by law. We provide confirmation and renewal notices where applicable law requires them.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel automatic renewal at any time. To cancel online, send this preformatted cancellation email to support@conusent.com. You can also use any cancellation option provided in your subscription account or billing messages.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Unless applicable law provides otherwise, your current paid access continues through the end of the period already purchased. Uninstalling the application does not cancel an active subscription.
7. Refund Policy
Because Doc Merge Studio is digital software and offers a free trial, subscription payments are generally final and nonrefundable once processed, except where a refund is required by applicable law. We will review reported duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges and correct verified billing errors as appropriate.
Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge. See our Refund Policy for additional information.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, circumvent, or tamper with licensing or security controls except to the extent permitted by law;
- redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share unauthorized copies of the software;
- share account credentials with unauthorized users;
- interfere with the website, service infrastructure, or other users;
- use the software to create, distribute, or facilitate unlawful content or activities; or
- violate another party’s intellectual property or other legal rights.
We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
9. Your Documents and Content
You retain any rights you have to documents, templates, and other content you create with Doc Merge Studio. You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and proper use of your documents and for maintaining copies or backups.
Doc Merge Studio is a productivity tool and does not provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.
10. Intellectual Property
The Doc Merge Studio software, website content, names, branding, and related technology belong to Conus Enterprises LLC or its licensors. Your subscription grants a limited right to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of the software or its intellectual property.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or terminate access if an account materially violates these Terms, bypasses licensing, threatens security, or is used unlawfully. Where appropriate and feasible, we may provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Termination of an account does not automatically refund past subscription charges, subject to any rights provided by law.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the software and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Conus Enterprises LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of Doc Merge Studio. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for Doc Merge Studio in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time and will post the revised terms with an updated date. We will provide notice and obtain consent to material changes where required by law.
